Booster Club Fundraisers
Harvest Days Pancake Breakfast: This breakfast will take place Sunday, September 18. All-you-can-eat pancakes, sausages, and biscuits & gravy will be served from 8:30-noon as part of the Harvest Days celebration.
Open House Reception: Each year, we alternate between the 1-4 grade parents and the 5-8 grade parents to provide finger foods for guests to enjoy during our annual Open House. Parents, family members and anyone interested are welcome to visit our school and see what we've been learning so far this year.
Avanti's Boxed Lunches: This fundraiser is still growing and becoming quite lucrative. The Booster Club holds it twice a year, Thursday, Oct. 13, and Thursday, May 11. We sell and deliver lunches to area businesses. Currently, we make deliveries to Pontiac, Dwight and Odell businesses. Lunches include a 6-inch gondola from Avanti's, a bag of chips, a bottle of water, and a cookie for $5 a lunch. Another option for customers is to buy a whole gondola sandwich for $7.50. Individuals also are able to order sandwiches for pick-up at the school. Families can have orders sent home with their children, and students can buy gondola lunches to enjoy at school on the Thursday of delivery and/or on our field trip in October and at Track and Field Day in May.
Halloween Party: The Booster Club sponsors a Halloween Party for the entire school to enjoy. All parents are welcome to attend our celebration!
Turkey Dinner at Pour Richards: This is tentatively set for early November. We serve a turkey dinner with all the trimmings at Pour Richards Restaurant.
Fall Raffle: This year's raffle is set for Saturday, November 19, and will be held at Odell's Knights of Columbus Hall. This is one of our biggest fundraisers, and we depend on every family to help sell tickets. Only 500 tickets are sold. Each ticket costs $100 and includes two complimentary steak dinners as well as the chance to win $17,750 in prizes, including the $10,000 grand prize. Dinner is served from 4:30-7 p.m., and the drawing will begin at approximately 7 p.m.
Santa Breakfast: Our students will sing Christmas favorites and make ornaments to sell. We will serve pancakes and sausage with a toppings bar. Santa will be available for photos, and we will have some other special guests join us as well. This year, homemade cinnamon rolls will be available for cash-and-carry.
Cookie & Candy Sale: This large Christmas bake sale takes place at the Odell Bank and is a favorite among community members. We sell a wide variety of homemade cookies and candies, including sugar cookies, fudge, chocolate-covered pretzels, etc. This sale will take place on a Friday and Saturday during bank hours in December.
Christmas Party: The Booster Club sponsors a Christmas party with snacks and punch. Santa will visit and pass out gifts to each student. All parents are welcome to join us. This year's party will be held the morning of Tuesday, Dec. 20.
Catholic Schools Week: Catholic Schools Week will be held from Jan. 29-Feb. 4. Each year, the Booster Club hosts a reception after Sunday's Catholic Schools Week Mass. The Booster Club provides donuts and drinks. Parents are encouraged to invite any families interested in learning more about St. Paul School. We also will hold a book fair which begins that Sunday during the reception. The book fair runs throughout the week. During Catholic Schools Week, our students will participate in different dress-up days, various activities, a field trip to go bowling, and lunch with their prayer partners.
Bibbidy Bobbidy Ball: This is a new fundraiser we are launching this year! This is a daddy-daughter dance with a twist! The event is tentatively set for February. Girls from age’s 3-4th grade will be invited to come to Dwight's Parish Hall in the afternoon to prepare for their day. There, they have the option of getting their hair and make-up done, nails painted, and/or making jewelry to wear at the ball. The dads or special guests will join them later for (kid-friendly) dinner and dancing. They will meet their daughters when they are introduced and announced just like real princesses. This is still a work in progress so tune in for more information later!
Spaghetti Dinner & Auction: This is one of our best and most fun fundraisers! It includes a basket raffle, silent auction, kiddie auction and an exciting live auction. We always have a wide assortment of items on which to bid, including tickets to events, handcrafted woodworking, student art, any number of gift certificates, and highly sought after baked goods! We have a little something different every year, whether it's face painting for the kids or a roulette wheel. This event is fun for the entire family.
Golf Outing: This event is held in June at Wolf Creek Golf Club in Cayuga and is in memory of Mike Moyemont and Juli Sullivan. This is a fun event for parents to work and a great way to get any services hours you may still need for the year. Get your service hours while getting a tan and running a betting hole. Or relax in the air conditioning of the clubhouse and serve lunch. If you enjoy golfing, put together a foursome. We also need hole sponsors, so if you know of a business owner who would be willing to sponsor, please let us know!
